HAMDEN >> The group Pharaoh\u2019s Daughter, which blends Jewish musical styles with many world music genres, will perform at Congregation Mishkan Israel Saturday. The annual cantor\u2019s concert, a fund-raiser for the Reform synagogue, features Basya Schechter, who \u201cleads her band \u2026 through swirling Hasidic chants, Mizrachi and Sephardi folk-rock, and spiritual stylings filtered through percussion, flute, strings and electronica,\u201d according to the group\u2019s website. \u201cAn Evening of Hope and Joy,\u201d presented by Cantor Arthur Giglio, begins at 7:30 p.m. at the synagogue located at 785 Ridge Road. All ages are welcome to attend. Tickets, which may be reserved at www.cmihamden.org, are $40 for adults and $10 for students and children over 5. Younger children may attend for free.
