\u2022 Air Force Airman Nezdon V. Soriano graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Soriano is the son of Nirah Ocasio of West Haven, and a 2016 graduate of Platt Technical High School, Milford. \u2022 Julianna Tran received second honors in Grade 7 at Amity Middle School in Orange. \u2022 Lauren Gray is the new marketing director for the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is heading the marketing communications, event planning, and website and social media efforts. Gray previously worked in marketing and communications, with event management experience at PepsiCo, and at public relations and marketing agencies locally and in New York City. \u2022 Harry Chartoff of Woodbridge, Worcester Polytechnic Institute class of 2018 majoring in biomedical engineering, was a member of a student team that completed an intense, hands-on research project in Puerto Rico. The project was titled \u201cHistoric Bridge Preservation.\u201d \u2022 Ajay King of Orange, Worcester Polytechnic Institute class of 2018 majoring in mechanical engineering, was a member of a student team that completed an intense, hands-on research project in Washington, D.C. The project was titled \u201cDeveloping a Marketing Plan for Legends Sports Leagues.\u201d \u2022 Milford students on the fall 2016 Dean\u2019s List at Loyola University Maryland are: Timothy Attolino, class of 2017, Jenna Christiani, class of 2019, Gillian Ellis, class of 2019, Brett Gibbs, class of 2018, Deneca Minowa, class of 2017, Nicole Postighone, class of 2018. \u2022 Meghan Warren, of Milford, a clinical health studies major, was named to the Dean\u2019s List in Ithaca College\u2019s School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for the fall 2016 semester. \u2022 Sang Jin Lee of Orange and Tyler J. Ryan of Orange were recently named to the Dean\u2019s List at Boston University for the fall semester. \u2022 Sang Jin Lee, of Orange, graduated in January from Boston University. Lee received a Bachelor of Science in business administration in business administration and management.
