Woodbridge selectman endorses Mike Southworth for state Senate

Joe Dey, a member of the Woodbridge Board of Selectman endorsed Mike Southworth to be the next state Senate for the 14th District, which includes Milford, Orange and parts of West Haven and Woodbridge.

In his endorsement, Dey said, “Mike’s service as a first responder for over 20 years assures me that he knows the residents and businesses of the 14th district well and is equipped to fight for them and challenge the status quo in Hartford. I am confident that Mike will hear the residents of the 14th district and keep their best interests in mind.”

Dey stressed the importance of electing a leader like Southworth during the challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic: “In the midst of one of the largest public health crises America has seen, Connecticut needs a leader like Mike Southworth who has shown the commitment and experience to help businesses and residents through these difficult and unprecedented times.”

“I am honored to have the support from an excellent local leader in Woodbridge,” said Southworth. “I look forward to working with him on making our towns more affordable to live in and keeping our communities safe.”
