Woodbridge resident’s dog to compete in NYC

WOODBRIDGE >> Resident Karen Muller and GCh. Maitrise du Chateau Rocher, CGCA, will be among more than 3,000 dogs competing in events of Westminster Week in New York City.

The 141st annual Westminster Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show in New York City is Feb. 13-14; the Masters Agility Championship at Westminster is Feb. 11; and the Masters Obedience Championship at Westminster is Feb. 13.

Maitrise is a Beauceron, a French shepherd that is part of the Herding Group, competing for Best of Breed in Conformation.

Breed competition in Westminster’s dog show will be held Feb. 13, 14 at piers 92/94, with live TV coverage on Nat Geo WILD, 2-4 p.m. The evening finals (Groups and Best In Show) will be held at Madison Square Garden and televised live 8-11 p.m. on FS1, Feb. 13, 14. The Herding group will be Feb 13.

The dog show is preceded on Feb. 11 by the Masters Agility Championship at Westminster on Pier 94 as part of the “Meet & Compete,” on piers 92 and 94. The finals of the championship will be seen on FS1 on Feb. 12, 8-10 p.m.
