
The winners of the 2014-2015 DAR American History and the Christopher Columbus essay contests will be honored at the Freelove Baldwin Stow DAR Chapter House at 55 Prospect Street in Milford at 7 p.m. on Feb. 12.
The American History contest is open to fifth through eighth grades at all Milford schools. This year’s topic was “A Child's Journey Through Ellis Island.”
The following students were named winners in the contest.

The local Freelove Baldwin Stow DAR Chapter also sponsors the Christopher Columbus essay contest, which is for ninth through twelfth grade students. The 2014-15 Christopher Columbus essay topic was “Joining Christopher Columbus on His Voyage to the New World.”
