Emergency personnel were dispatched July 4 to Bayview Beach, where a windsurfer was thought to be in distress.
Neighbors, gathered for the July 4 holiday at the beach, reported seeing a Coast Guard rescue ship, followed by Milford firefighting crews.
However, all was fine, said Greg Carman, fire department spokesman.
“A windsurfer off of Bayview Beach was thought to be in distress, but was found to be fine,” Carman said.
