Will be plenty of pumpkins at Pumpkins on the Pier: Event moved to Sunday

UPDATE: The annual Pumpkins on the Pier event has been rescheduled in anticipation of the weather on Saturday. The event will now take place on Sunday, Oct. 5. 

The time of the event remains as is: 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Walnut Beach.

The event supports the Boys & Girls Club of Milford, and features lots of pumpkins and fall events

The fourth annual Pumpkins on the Pier will take place Oct. 5 at Walnut Beach, 113 East Broadway, from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is free and a free shuttle service will run from  Jonathan Law High School to the beach. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 5.

The event benefits Milford’s Boys & Girls Club.

Children in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to compete in an American Idol event. Pre-register by emailing events@pumpkinsonthepier.org/

There will be a disc jockey, pie eating contest for children and adults, Amazing Andy the Magician and a laser light show.

The annual event will include activities for all ages. There also will be a free pumpkin decorating area, pumpkin playground, arts and craft vendors, children's game area, entertainment and more.

Attendees can also buy a chance to win a pumpkin in the giant pumpkin raffle. Pumpkins of all sizes will be available for purchase.
