MILFORD >> A West Haven man was arrested over the weekend after Milford police say he tried to sell a stolen dirt bike online.

Beno Green, 30, was arrested Saturday after the dirt bike’s owner saw the sale posting, Milford police spokesman Officer Joseph Dempsey said Tuesday in a release.

The bike was stolen from a business on New Haven Avenue in Milford, he said.

Green claimed he had bought the bike from someone else in Bridgeport and was now trying to sell it himself, police said.

Green, who lives on Lester Street in West Haven, was charged with third-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear Nov. 22 in Milford Superior Court.
