WEST HAVEN — The West Haven Black Coalition will hold its 28th annual tribute to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Congregational Church, on the Green across from City Hall.

The guest speaker is the Rev. Elderen Morrison, pastor of Varick AME Zion Church, New Haven.

Sharyn Esdaile, and Faith-Ann Philpo will share reflections on King’s impact.

The tribute will also feature Jonathan Berryman, Erik P. Brown, Harriet Alfred, The Unity Boys Choir, the Cooperative Arts Magnet School Concert Choir and the West Haven High School Choir.

Andrea Jackson-Brooks will serve as mistress of ceremonies.

Local and state officials will also attend.

Admission is free. Organizers will ask for a free-will offering to support the on-going work of the West Haven Black Coalition.

A light meal will be served in the fellowship hall following the service.
