Watch: Fest president talks about this Saturday's Oyster Fest

Want to know what's in store for this year's Annual Milford Oyster Festival?

Jay Pinto, Oyster Festival president, talked to HAN Network about the 41st annual festival, what to look for and what to expect in Downtown Milford this weekend.

Pinto talked about some of the highlights of this year’s festival, including the big musical acts taking both stages at the event. He also touched on the long history of the downtown Milford celebration.

Festivities kick-off this Friday, before the main event Saturday. Oyster Fest is the largest one-day festival in Connecticut, according to Pinto.

The festival attracts some 40,000 to 50,000 people each year, Pinto said.

There will be both oyster eating and shucking contests, as well as  activities for all ages, over 200 crafters and 70 nonprofit groups.

On the main stage, The Rembrandts, Fastball and Gin Blossoms will be performing. On the Harbor Stage, a Jimmy Buffett cover band, Jimmy and the Parrots, will be performing.
