The United Way of Milford has launched an updated website at unitedwayofmilford.org to serve as a conduit for information in the Milford community.

Since 1957, the United Way of Milford has been planning, coordinating and funding social service needs in the city of Milford.

“Our goal of being accessible to those in our community who need help is vastly improved with the launch of this updated website,” said Gary Johnson, President and CEO. “We see this as a tool for all who live and work in Milford – if you are seeking help or need to find help for a friend, family member or another contact in the community, the website is full of useful information.” The site was revamped to include up-to-date information on services available, both preventative (like child and elder care solutions, scouting, mentoring and ESL training) as well as crisis intervention (mental health, addiction services, sexual assault, teen pregnancy), United Way officials said.

It also has resources to help people find good volunteer opportunities in the community, make donations and join community-wide events.

United Way of Milford has a social service network of 22 partner agencies, covering everything from pregnancy through senior care. In addition, the United Way provides emergency service funding and community impact grants.

Antelope Web partnered with the United Way of Milford to refresh the site’s design and bring enhanced capabilities to the site. Based in Milford, Antelope Web was founded by Greyson Schwing. Schwing was recently named “Rotarian of the Year” by the Devon Rotary.

The United Way of Milford works with the following Partner Agencies: American Red Cross (CT/RI Region), The Beth-El Center, BHCare, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southwestern CT, The Boy Scouts of America (CT Yankee Council), Boys & Girls Club of Milford, Bridges… A Community Support System, Catholic Charities, Girl Scouts of CT, Good Shepherd Child Development Center, Harold F.
