The Milford Historical Society’s three houses at 34 High Street are open every Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., but on July 30 at 2:30 p.m. there will be an added tour of the herb gardens that are cared for by the society’s Herbcrafter’s group.

The cost for docent-led tours of all the houses and the herb garden is $5 for adults, free for children.

Special events are also scheduled at the society during the Oyster Festival, Aug. 30. Visitors can have photos taken in stocks from noon to 3 p.m.; from noon to 1 p.m. there will be colonial games for children and a quill pen writing workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. As usual, the three houses will be open 1 to 4 p.m.
