The Drive talks supporting families facing childhood cancer

Watch The Drive with Denise DiGrigoli live Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. or watch this week’s show, below:

This week, Denise welcomes Jessica Gerber, a Fairfield resident, Board of Education member and children's advocate. She discusses her family’s journey and the loss of their beloved child, Teddy, to a rare form of cancer.

There are upcoming events, named in honor of Teddy, that will be supporting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. St. Baldricks' raises critical funds for childhood cancer research. The Foundation, focuses on celebrating kids who are battling cancer, while working to save lives. Find out more about the Team Teddy March 18 event, here.

As adults, we have the power to move things forward and do remarkable things for kids while also helping families who are suffering. Shifting our attention to supporting research that will lead to breakthroughs in childhood cancers, is one way we can insure new treatments are designed specifically for kids.

Denise also gives us a “Mindful Minute” of tips for motivation and creativity.
