MILFORD — The Downtown Milford Business Association is showing four classic movies during its free summer movie nights event in downtown Milford.

“There’s nothing like a classic blockbuster under the stars on a summer evening,” said Tracy Bonosconi, the association’s president.

The movies are going to be shown at Fowler Field - Rotary Pavilion, at 1 Shipyard Ln. The first movie, which will be shown on Wednesday, will be “The Goonies.”

Other movies planned are “Pirates of the Caribbean” on Monday, July 12; “Raiders of the Lost Ark” on Wednesday, July 21 and “Jaws” on Wednesday, July 28.

The event opens at 6 p.m. with cartoons to start, and the feature presentation starts at sundown around 8 p.m.

“We are excited to bring the community back together,” said Bonosconi. “We encourage everyone to come down, support our local food establishments and food trucks by getting some takeout, and make some summer memories together.”
