MILFORD — Investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 that left two people dead last week, according to police.

In an accident report released Sunday, state police identified the deceased as Delroy Morris, 28, of Bridgeport, and Tashane Errol Boothe, 30, of Bridgeport.

Police said the collision took place at 6:48 p.m. Thursday on the northbound lanes of I-95 near Exit 36.

According to the report, Morris, the driver, and Boothe, the passenger, were traveling in a 2008 Lincoln MKZ. Morris lost control of the Lincoln after striking a vehicle while attempting to merge into an adjacent lane.

The collision, police said, caused the Lincoln to veer into the rear end of another vehicle and become airborne. The Lincoln then struck the concrete bridge pillars on the Plains Road overpass, resulting in the ejection of both occupants.

Police said Morris and Boothe were pronounced deceased on scene. The occupants of the other vehicles involved in the crash were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation. Police ask that any witnesses contact Troop G Bridgeport at 203-696-2500 and speak to Trooper Norton #1394.
