State Rep. Kim Rose retains leadership roles for the 2015 Legislative Session
State Rep. Kim Rose (D) was sworn in to her third term Wednesday.
Rose won reelection to her 118th district seat during the November elections, and she has retained leadership roles for the 2015 Legislative Session. Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey (D-Hamden) reappointed her House vice chair of the Housing Committee and Assistant Majority Whip.
“It is an honor to have been reappointed to serve in these leadership roles as I begin my third term in the State legislature,” Rose said. “I look forward to making important progress regarding the affordable housing statute that’s so critical to Milford and working with the Housing Committee chairs and my colleagues to make it a reality.”
She will also serve on the Committee on Children and the Veterans’ Affairs Committee.
“I am very happy with my committee assignments and especially to continue our work on behalf of Connecticut veterans,” Rose said. “It is essential that we keep supporting them and improving on the services and issues that concern our veterans. It will also be extremely rewarding to join my colleagues as I begin to serve on the Children’s Committee.”
