St. John's College to offer LPN-to-BSN program

St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield has created a transition plan of study for those seeking to become a licensed practical nurse with the goal of earning a bachelor's degree in nursing.

Through the first of its kind program Illinois, LPNs will be able to get their bachelor's degree in the same amount of time it would take to earn an associate's degree.

“Many barriers to achieving the higher degree have been removed,” St. John’s College Chancellor Charlene Aaron said. “We are excited to be the first nursing college in the state to offer this pathway."
