Amity Youth Basketball Tournament

The Amity Athletics Booster Clun announces its 33rd Youth Basketball Invitational Tournament in a double-elimination format for the following age groups: Boys Junior (11-and-under), Boys Intermediate (12-and-under), Boys Senior (13-and-under), Girls Junior (11-and-under), and Girls Senior (13-and-under).

Foran basketball alumni event

The Foran High School boys basketball program will hold its annual alumni event Jan. 8 and 9. On Friday night Foran will take on Daniel Hand at 7 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the game.

On Saturday, the alumni game will be take place at 2 p.m. in the Foran gymnasium. All former players and coaches are welcome.

CT Owls Youth Baseball Teams

The two-time national champion CT Owls baseball organization is holding evaluation workouts for its 11, 12, 13, 14U teams every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at SHEA 22 Athletic Training Facility located in North Haven.

A one-time Wednesday workout is free of charge.

Evaluations for the 15, 16, 17, 18U teams will be held on the weekends of Jan. 23, 24 and 30, 31 and Feb. 6 and 7 at SHEA 22.

The 15, 16U will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the 17, 18U from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

NEBA hitting clinics

New England Baseball Academy is accepting registration for January Hitting Clinics, which will take place Jan. 7 and 10 for 8 to 12 year-old players and Jan. 14 for middle and high school players. Bethwood Softball Winter Warm-up Clinics

The Bethwood Softball Little League will hold Winter Warm-up Clinics on Sundays from Jan. 10 to March 14. Clinics will emphasize proper techniques for throwing, fielding, sliding and hitting.

Clinics for ages 6 to 8 will run from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Bethany Town Hall. Instruction will be given by league coaches. Cost is $75.

Clinics for ages 9 to 12 will run from 1 to 4 p.m. at Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge and will be conducted by the Quinnipiac University coaching staff and players. Cost is $100.

Players will be evaluated and teams will be selected in the last two weeks of the clinics.

All players should bring a glove, and bats and helmets for those who have them. Bats and helmets will be available for those who need to use them.
