WOODBRIDGE - A special meeting of the Emergency Medical Services Commission was convened on Jan. 4 to review response times by American Medical Response ambulances to medical calls in Woodbridge. The review was prompted by an article in the Dec. 28 of The Bulletin concerning the prolonged response time to a medical call on Dec. 20.

The December 9-1-1 call was made for an individual who had lost consciousness. The ambulance did not arrive on scene for 23 minutes. The issue will be discussed further at the Board of Selectmen on Jan. 9.

See the Jan. 11 issue of The Bulletin for the full story.
