Scouts offer to pick up Christmas trees for recycling
WOODBRIDGE >> Woodbridge Residents: Boy Scout Troop 41 will pick up and recycle your Christmas Trees on the morning of Jan. 11. Our troop has a deep appreciation in preserving the environment and actively observes the Boy Scout principle of Leave No Trace.
Once you subscribe online to this event, Troop 41 will pick up your tree on Sunday, Jan. 11. The tree will be mulched and ultimately re-used in landscaping.
This is a fund raising event that will specifically be used to support camperships, our community service projects, and gear for our summer high adventure trip.
Troop 41 is an active Woodbridge Troop of 33 scouts engaged in fun activities designed to develop personal skills, community engagement, and leadership development. The troop program includes monthly outings, summer camp, high adventure trip and community services projects.
For community service, they have built an outdoor chapel and a community garden. They have patrolled and cleared a segment of our town’s Blue Trail as well as built trail bridges and walkways.
Sign-up for your tree removal at www.xmas-tree-recycle.org and the troop will send a reminder a few days in advance. Suggested donation is $20.
