Schools, vaccine clinics closed in Milford

MILFORD — All Milford schools and adult education programs are closed today, including in-person and remote classes.

Residents are directed to park on the odd side of the street on Monday, Feb. 1, and the even side of the street on Tuesday, Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to Mayor Ben Blake.

Residents along the shoreline should move their vehicles to higher ground due to the chance of local flooding in areas of low elevation. Residents also are reminded that there is a potential for high wind and they should secure all outdoor objects and ensure their electronic devices are fully charged.

UPDATE 9:13 a.m. — All Bridgeport Hospital vaccination clinics, including the location in the Parsons Government Center in Milford, are closed today. Hospital spokesman John Cappiello said there is no word on whether the clinics will be open Tuesday, but staff are “hoping for a quick resumption.”
