MILFORD >> State Rep. Kim Rose, D-Milford, toured the Beth-El Center and met with Executive Director Toni Dolan to learn more about the services provided to residents and explore ways the state can support the center’s goals.

“I am committed to keep fighting for our community and to help find solutions for the challenges we face,” Rose said.

Beth-El, 90 New Haven Ave., is a homeless shelter, soup kitchen and Meals to Go program serving families in Milford, including those who live in the supportive housing at 85 New Haven Ave.

“At times like this, when we are facing tough fiscal decisions across the state, it’s important to have as much information available to prioritize our agenda,” Rose said.

The center also focuses on assisting homeless individuals to achieve independence.

Rose called the work done by Beth El “extraordinary.”

“I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the facility and the welcoming environment provided to their clients and families,” Rose said.

Rose is in her fourth term representing the 118th District.
