Recreation Notes: April 2014

Spring fitness/dance and fun — The Milford Recreation Department announces its spring Fitness & Wellness and Dance and Fun Workout sessions for adults with instructor Shelia Frankel beginning on Monday, April 14.

The classes will run for 10 weeks and cost $58 for residents and $63 for non-residents. The Fitness & Wellness class is offered on Monday and Thursday at 6:30 pm and Friday at 9:30 am while the Dance & Fun Workout class is available Tuesday at 6:15 pm.

Freestyle yoga — Spring Freestyle Yoga class is for adults with instructor Shelia Frankel and begins on Monday, April 14.

The class will run for 10 weeks and will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Margaret Egan Center and will cost $58 for residents and $63 for non-residents.

Zumba — Spring Zumba Fitness sessions for adults with instructor Lynn Baglini begins on Monday, April 14.

The first class is on Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. beginning on April 14. The second class is on Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and will start on April 16. Both classes will be held at the Margaret Egan Center Gymnasium and run for 10 weeks. The cost for either class is $65 for residents and $70 for non-residents; $95 for both classes.

Registration is required prior to the class and both classes are limited in size.

Hatha yoga — Spring Hatha Yoga sessions for adults with instructor Dee Stephens begin on Monday, April 7.

There are four classes being offered. The first class is offered on Monday night beginning April 7 at 6 p.m. with a second class at 7:20 p.m. The Tuesday class begins on April 15 at 6:15 p.m. while the final class is scheduled for April 9 at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday mornings.

All classes will run 10 weeks and will cost $60 for residents and $65 for non-residents. All classes will be held at the Margaret Eagan Center.

Spring cardio — The Milford Recreation Department announces its spring Cardio Core Workout session for adults beginning on Tuesday, April 8. Bring three pound hand weights to class for use during the strength training/toning, a five pound weighted ball as well a 65 cm size exercise ball. The class is offered on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. All classes will be held at Tri-Beach.

The class will run for 11 weeks and cost $90 for residents and $95 for non-residents.
