The Milford Police Department will conduct a roadside sobriety check point on New Years Eve.
The roadside check will run Dec. 31 to Jan. 1.
“The purpose of this checkpoint is to create a visible police presence and focus on operators under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs,” police said in a prepared statement.
They did not say where the check point will be located.
In their press release, police also ask that anyone who sees a vehicle being operated by a person they suspect is driving under the influence or driving recklessly to call 911 and report the incident to the police.
