Police report suspicious activity involving 2 joggers

The Milford Police Department is investigating two separate incidents involving female joggers being inappropriately touched by an unknown man.

The first incident occurred on Nov. 15 around 6 p.m. in the area of Beach Avenue near Chapel Street. A man inappropriately touched a juvenile female jogger as she ran by him, police said.

The man is described as white, in his 20s, with a thin build wearing a leather jacket.

The second incident occurred on Nov. 16, around 4 p.m. in the area of Grant Street and involved a different juvenile female who was also touched inappropriately by a man who ran up behind her as she was jogging. The man is described as white, in his 20s, approximately five feet ten inches tall with brown hair and wearing sunglasses.

The female from the second incident saw the same man in an older model four door black vehicle just prior to the event.

“In light of these types of suspicious encounters adults are reminded to speak with children, encouraging them to immediately report to a trusted adult anything that feels suspicious or uncomfortable,” police said in press release.
