The Milford Police Department is investigating a bank robbery they say occurred at the People’s United Bank, 1636 Boston Post Road in Milford, on Tuesday.

On August 18 at approximately 4:15 pm, a man entered the bank through the front door and approached the teller, passing a note stating he had a weapon and wanted the money from the drawer, police said.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery, police added.

After receiving the money, the suspect left on foot toward Woodruff Road. Police said no motor vehicle was observed.

The suspect is described as a thin white male wearing an oversized gray t-shirt, cargo shorts, a blue baseball hat with sunglasses on the hat, dark sneakers and white socks.
