Police have suspects in car break-ins

The Milford Police Department has two suspects in a recent spate of car break-ins, William Raw Jr., 22, and Joseph Biancheri, 23.
Police said last month that property was reported stolen from unlocked vehicles, including wallets, cash, credit cards, GPS units and other electronic devices.

On Sept. 15, a credit card that was taken from a vehicle on Dock Road was used to make several unauthorized purchases at local businesses. Video surveillance from the business led to the identification of Raw and Biancheri, police said. Raw lives on Applewood Lane in Milford; police had no address for Biancheri.
The two men are currently being held in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections for similar incidents in other communities. Milford police expect to charge Raw and Biancheri with the Milford crimes.
Police are urging residents to keep their vehicles secured, remove valuables and report any suspicious activities to the police department immediately. A majority of the vehicles involved in these incidents were left unsecured prior to the thefts taking place, police said.
Local police are continuing the investigations and further arrests are expected.
