A stolen gun, almost 100 Xanax pills, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms were seized during a traffic stop last week, according to police.

Shayee Brown, a Norwalk resident identified by police as the “main suspect,” was charged with weapons offenses. Brown also had outstanding warrants on prior alleged weapons violations. His bonds totaled $535,000.

Justin Thompson, of Milford, was charged with narcotics violations. Police identified Thompson as Brown’s “accomplice” and said he was released after posting bond.

The driver was released on a promise to appear on motor vehicle violation charges.

The three individuals were arrested on March 25 around 2 p.m., police said Monday.

The arrests stemmed from a joint investigation by the state police Gang Unit, Statewide Narcotics, FBI Safe Streets, Bridgeport, Trumbull and Stamford police.

Bridgeport police said the agency received information about three people in a blue Chevy Malibu, allegedly in possession of narcotics and an illegal gun. Authorities found the vehicle at the Trumbull Mall, moving through various parking lot areas but never getting out of the vehicle.

Police said they ran the plate, which was a false registration, and initiated a motor vehicle stop.
