Contributed photo. /MILFORD — A Bethany man was arrested Tuesday after police say he threatened to stab another individual with an “infected needle” while attempting to rob him at a bank ATM.
Thomas Yorkshaitis, 39, of Beacon Road, was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree larceny and second-degree robbery, police said.
Officers responded to Webster Bank, located at 100 Broad St., around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday for a reported robbery, officials said.
“Investigation led to the arrest of Yorkshaitis who is accused of threatening to stab a male with an infected needle if he did not give him the money he withdrew from the ATM,” police said.
Bond was set at $200,000, police said.
