MILFORD — Police say three people — all juveniles — have been charged in connection with a Memorial Day brawl at Walnut Beach and more arrests are expected.

Milford police did not release the names of the three people arrested, which is common in cases involving minors. The charges against the three people arrested also were not disclosed.

Police had previously asked for help identifying some of the people involved in the fight from footage of the incident.

Milford police said “there are arrest warrants forthcoming” for two more juveniles and five adults.

“The Milford Police Department would like to thank the members of the public that assisted in identifying the people involved in this incident,” the agency’s statement said.

Around 6:30 p.m. on May 30, Milford police said they responded to a number of fights on Walnut Beach. During the incident, police said officers were assaulted, and two had their body-worn cameras pulled off their uniforms.

In the wake of the fight, Milford police said they would have an increased presence at beaches this summer.
