An exhibit will highlight the work of longtime newspaper photographer Ed Brinsko, who worked for the (Bridgeport) Post Publishing Co. for 43 years.
The late Brinsko photographed U.S. presidents, other dignitaries, celebrities and ordinary people, and covered events from tragedies to celebrations, throughout the greater Bridgeport region during his journalism career.
The exhibit, entitled “ReVisit Bridgeport: Photographs by Ed Brinsko,” features some of his best photos at McLevy Hall, 202 State St., Bridgeport.
An opening reception will take place Saturday, Jan. 10 from 1-4 p.m. at McLevy Hall, third floor. Michael Daly, Connecticut Post editorial page editor, will lead a discussion on Brinsko’s work during the reception. The event is open to the public.
The exhibit will remain open through Jan. 31 by appointment only; those interested can contact Jay or Geralene at misencik.images@gmail.com or 203-268-8306.
Jay Misencik, a professional photographer in the region, was Ed Brinsko’s nephew and is helping to organize the exhibit.
