The North Shore Animal League will bring puppies, kittens, grown dogs and cats to the Milford Library for adoption on Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In association with the city’s One City, One Book selection, Wonder, library officials have decided to bring a mobile adoption center to the library.
In the story, the main character, Augie, has a special relationship with his pet.
Those who may want to adopt can pre-register at cprdogs.com. Click on “adopt” to be walked through the process.
In addition to the mobile adoption truck, there will be a local dog trainer, Dawn Lowery, to assist pet owners in training their animals.
Lowery has an extensive background as a trainer and animal behavior consultant.
Lowery's discussion will begin at 1 p.m. Her presentation is for humans only; dogs cannot attend.
