One man involved in downtown Milford shooting released from hospital

One man has been released from the hospital and another remains in serious condition following a shooting in downtown Milford early Sunday morning.
Milford police are still investigating several gunshots being fired early Sunday morning in downtown Milford.
Police have not released the names of the people involved.
According to a police report, on March 1, at approximately 1:32 a.m., the Milford Police Department received a complaint regarding a disturbance in the parking garage at 1 New Haven Avenue in Milford.
The parking garage is in the heart of the downtown restaurant area, across from Archie Moore’s Restaurant.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the disturbance involved a group of people in the area. Two adult men were taken to a local hospital with gunshot injuries: One suffered serious injuries and the other non-life threatening injuries. Police spokesman Jeff Nielsen said the second man was released from the hospital after being treated.
Police recovered two firearms at the crime scene and are continuing the investigation as to the cause and extent.
