It all comes down Wednesday night in Bridgeport. Top-seeded Darien takes on No. 3 Trumbull for the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference Championship at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. You can watch the Wednesday, May 25, championship live (or later on-demand) in streaming HD in the video player below:

First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Darien comes into the championship with a 19-3 record this season. One of those three losses came to Trumbull in the final week of the regular season. The Eagles, who have a 15-7 record, beat the Blue Wave, 5-2.

Trumbull has a habit of making the FCIAC Baseball Championship. This is the Eagles' fourth appearance in the FCIAC final in the past five years. They last won it all in 2012. Trumbull has three FCIAC titles plus a co-championship they shared with Staples in 2001.

It's been a long time since Darien's last FCIAC Championship, which was in 1981. The Blue Wave also won in 1971. Darien last appeared in the FCIAC final in 1998, the second of two-straight runner-up finishes for the Blue Wave in the FCIACs.
