The Orange Drug/Alcohol Action Committee (ODAAC) will sponsor an Open House for parents, Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Orange Junior High School, Ohman Avenue, Orange.

The event, titled "Parents' Journey: Planning for your Child's Success," features presentations by local experts in the areas of college financial planning; parental liability regarding underage drinking; a pediatric nurse to discuss the changes of adolescence; an Olympic Gold Medallist trainer/coach offering tips on giving your child the extra "edge" to get in shape; and much more. Local community service agencies will be on hand to provide information on the many programs available to area residents.

ODAAC invites parents to journey through the Open House at leisure and spend as much or as little time as desired. Stop by for coffee and refreshments. "Hear new ideas about how to help your child succeed from adolescence through college, says Joan Kreiger, ODAAC coordinator, "Give us 15 minutes, we'll give you the answers!"

For information, contact ODAAC at 645-4591. The snow date for this event is Saturday, Jan. 25.
