NORTH HAVEN — State police have identified a driver and passenger killed last week in a fiery crash on Interstate 91.

State police on Tuesday identified the driver as 26-year-old Brianna Sabol, of Milford, and her front-seat passenger as Anton Miguel Colon-Duffy, 27, of Meriden. State police initially said last week they had been unable to identify the occupants because of the crash and fire.

On Nov. 30, Sabol was driving her 2011 Hyundai Sonata north along I-91 past the Exit 12 off-ramp in North Haven, when the vehicle drove off the right side of the highway around 8:10 p.m., state police said.

The car continued down an embankment, where it collided with a tree and caught fire, state police said.

Sabol and Colon-Duffy were pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

The Hyundai was later towed from the scene and the victims' next of kin were notified, state police said Tuesday.

The crash remains under investigation.
