North Branford church to hold group for grief and loss
NORTH BRANFORD — A loss and bereavement group will be meeting Tuesday and on three future dates at the North Branford Congregational Church.
Led by church member Gerry Borgerson, a Christian therapist, the “Reflections, Remembrances and Resurrections” group will help people deal with any kind of loss, including those of a loved one, pet, job, relationship or good health.
Borgerson, a retired marriage and family therapist, said the group will provide a safe place “to talk, to listen, and to process your own experience of loss,” according to a press release.
The group is free and open to all. It will meet at the church at 1680 Foxon Road on Feb. 6 and 20 and March 6 and 20, with the possibility of continuing beyond those dates.
“What a fitting time during Lent to explore your losses, and ways the Holy Spirit may be guiding you and inviting you to examine new pathways for your living,” Borgerson said in the release.
