MILFORD >> Guilford native Nick Fradiani will celebrate his debut album with a brief acoustic performance at noon Aug. 6 at Center Court Level 1 in front of Macy’s at the Connecticut Post Mall, 1201 Boston Post Road.

He will sign and take photos with fans who buy the album.

“Hurricane” is slated for release Aug. 5 on Big Machine Records/19 Recordings and has 12 tracks, 11 of which he co-wrote.

“I can’t wait to come back to my hometown to celebrate with the people who have supported me from the beginning,” he said. “It means the world to me to share this day with my fans and am so excited to meet everyone.”

Fradiani dominated “American Idol” Season 14. His vocals songwriting panache are on full display in the music video for the Pop & Hot AC hit “Get You Home.” The track follows his debut single “Beautiful Life,” which was the anthem for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Fradiani has been previewing the new tunes at radio station events across the country, joining Andy Grammer, DNCE and more along the way.
