The city has new decals that list and display the eligible items now included in Milford’s expanded recycling program.

The Department of Public Works will be delivering the labels during weekly recycling pickups, and the Public Works team will be affixing new decals to the lids of residential recycling totes.

“This initiative will increase Milford’s sustainability as recycling conserves our community’s natural resources, reduces landfill waste, improves air and water quality, and protects the planet for future generations,” said Mayor Ben Blake in an email announcing the stickers. “In addition to supporting the environment, more recycling means that the city will pay less to dispose of costly waste, and will instead generate additional revenue from the sale of our valuable recyclables.”
