The Milford Laboratory, of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service, will hold an open house on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The facility, which is located at 212 Rogers Avenue in Milford, will be open to the public. There will be displays portraying the various research, and community-based activities that occur at the lab. There will be marine scientists on hand to assist in guiding visitors through the lab and to answer questions.
Groups with interests in marine sciences and the environment are encouraged to attend.
There is no cost to attend the open house, which is rain or shine.
Ample free parking is available.
The open house displays and activities are appropriate for all ages and all levels of interest.
