Murphy and delegates at Platt Thursday morning
U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, State Senator Gayle Slossberg, and State Representatives Theresa Conroy, Kim Rose, and Pam Staneski were scheduled to visit Platt Technical High School Thursday morning.
The group toured the school’s Manufacturing Technology Department and planned to hear from Principal Scott Zito, students, and teachers about the program’s success in preparing Connecticut students to meet the demands of Connecticut’s 21st Century advanced manufacturing industry.
Presidents Dave Cremin of Straton Industries and Tom Auray of Bridgeport Fittings – two of many local manufacturing companies who actively hire graduates of Platt’s Manufacturing Technology Program – were also expected to participate.
