Christy Romano is set to star in a new romantic comedy that begins shooting this August in the Poconos in Pennsylvania. The film, Bear With Us, will be independently financed and producers are seeking investors for the low budget film.
“The film is a crazy romp about a guy who attempts to propose to his girlfriend in the most romantic way possible,” says screen writer Russell K. Nickel.” But his plan starts to fall apart when a ravenous bear stumbles on their charming cabin in the woods.”
Directed by William J. Stribling, the film will also feature Mark Sullivan (As the World Turns, One Life to Live, Pan Am) and Cheyenne Jackson (United 93, Glee, 30 Rock).
The producers of the film are seeking investors through the crowdfunding site Indiegogo. According to the producers, proceeds collected for the film will be 100% tax-deductible and donors will receive film-related perks, including visits to the set, limited edition T-shirts, signed script pages and more.
