A charity cycling event, Spinathon 2015, will take place on Saturday, May 16 at Foran High School to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, but organizers said some donations are still needed to make the event a success.
The intent is to not only raise money and awareness for a noble charity but also to promote volunteerism and community, organizers said.
The Milford Recreation Department and the Milford Indians Wrestling Club are sponsoring the event.
The event is scheduled for noon to 8 p.m. May 16. Spin bikes will be available for one-hour sessions, for $20.
Organizer Ed Vanchot said a number of items are still needed, especially additional spin bikes. Also needed are donations of bottled water/drinks; food/snacks; anti-bacterial wipes; door prizes, and a box truck for transport of bikes.
