The lobby of the Milford Police Department was closed, as was the front parking lot, as police investigated a suspicious package that was dropped off at police headquarters, police announced on their Twitter page Friday at 12:40 p.m.
The suspicious item was removed and will be safely disposed of. "The police department is deemed safe and is reopen to the public," states a Twitter post issued a short time later.
