Milford police arrest Stratford man accused of strangulation

MILFORD >> Police arrested a man Tuesday who is accused of putting his hands around a female’s throat and restricting her breathing.

Kurt Warcholic, 34, of Roosevelt Avenue, Stratford, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, third-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct, police said.

Police responded to a Railroad Avenue apartment on a possible domestic violence incident.

Investigation led to the arrest of Warcholic, who allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with the victim inside the apartment, police said.

Warcholic left the scene prior to police arrival but was located later, police said.

He was released on a promise to appear and issued a court date of May 17.
