Milford police: Man snapped illicit photo while at work

MILFORD >> A Stratford man is facing a criminal charge after police say he took a photo under a woman’s skirt while at work at a Milford business.

Joseph Matthews, 32, was arrested Sunday on a warrant stemming from the incident, police spokesman Officer Joseph Dempsey said Tuesday in a release.

Matthews allegedly used his cell phone to take the photo without the woman’s knowledge while working on the Boston Post Road.

Matthews, who lives in the 100 block of Nichols Terrace in Stratford, was charged with voyeurism. He was released on a promise to appear Nov. 22 in Milford Superior Court.

Voyeurism is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
