MILFORD >> Maryrose Palumbo, inland-wetland compliance officer with the Department of Permitting and Land Use, was selected as Employee of the Month for September.

Palumbo was singled out for her strong work ethic, outstanding work performance and teamwork.

She has been compliance officer for more than 25 years, having begun her employment March 5, 1991. She is also an employee representative on the Pension Board.

She has been assigned many complex tasks and completes all efficiency and tact. She has the important responsibility of ensuring that all properties are in compliance with the wetlands regulations of the city, as well as the related state statutes, the city said in a press release.

She is recognized for her ability to welcome and assist the public through the entire compliance process with courtesy, respect, empathy and professionalism.
