Milford man faces child pornography charges
The Milford Police Department Computer Crimes Unit received a criminal referral in April regarding an investigation into child pornography. A New Jersey state police trooper assigned to an Internet crimes against children task force forwarded the tip that led to the arrest of Brian M. Bullett, 44, of Milford.
Police say the New Jersey investigation into file sharing discovered downloaded videos containing children between the ages of 13 and 14 engaging in sexual activity. The investigation also indicated that the file sharing activities occurred within a private residence in Milford.
Milford police were granted a search warrant for the Bridgeport Avenue residence in May. As a result of this search warrant, computers were seized and Bullett's laptop was forensically reviewed.
Police say they found file sharing software and approximately 100 images and videos of child pornography.
Police say that Bullett turned himself in. He is charged with possession of child pornography, importing child pornography, promoting a minor in an obscene performance and obscenity.
The investigation is ongoing.
Bond for Bullett is set at $10,000 for court on August 7.
