Police arrested a Milford man in connection with a theft of computers from a city agency.

On Jan. 18, the Milford Police Department received a complaint from the Milford Technology Advisory Council regarding missing computers from a storage facility located at 125 Old Gate Lane in Milford. Approximately 70 Apple IMAC all in one style computers were found missing from the facility in August of 2012.

An investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for a former Milford Technology Advisory Council volunteer Brent Johnson, 24, of Milford. Johnson is accused of removing some of the computers and attempting to sell them.

On May 25, Johnson voluntarily surrendered to police regarding the outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was charged with larceny. He was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on June 18.

The Milford Police Department is continuing with the investigation and is asking anyone who may have purchased or is in possession of any of the IMAC computers to contact Detective Nash at 203-877-1465 or visit milfordpd.org and click on “Crime Tips.”
