Milford hosts showing of FBI’s ‘Chasing the Dragon’

The public is invited to a free public screening of the FBI documentary “Chasing the Dragon” and open discussion in the Parsons Veterans Memorial Auditorium on Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event is hosted by The Milford Kiwanis Club and Milford Prevention Council in an effort to help raise awareness of this growing epidemic.

The 45-minute documentary examines the epidemic of prescription drug and opioid abuse from first-person accounts by addicts and their family members about their experiences. The program contains strong language and graphic images. Viewing age of 18 and over is recommended.

Following the viewing there will be an open discussion, moderated by Charles Grady, community outreach specialist/media liaison for the FBI.

For questions regarding the public screening, contact info@milfordprevention.org or go to the Milford Prevention Council’s Facebook event page.
